Aretha Franklin acrylic on canvas 1mt x 70cms.
I have painted the queen of soul in grey shades to represent the black and white photograph I used.
To create her shawl I used a pallet knife and putting thick paint on the canvas to enhance the crochet style of the shawl. The shades were added before and after the knife to show distinguishing shades.
The artwork will be delivered free of charge and rolled up in a protective cardboard tube
